At least the war on the environment is going well.

Letter to the Peoria Journal Star newspaper, by Tonya Sneed.

Americans are not speaking out against the bombings in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen because it hasn't stopped them from driving to the mall, hasn't interfered with their ability to get their nails done, hasn't kept them from watching their favorite sports team on their big-screen TV.

We have killed countless people, have caused millions to flee their homes, have injured untold numbers, have created orphans, and it's all OK because there was a sale on curtains this week, and they match the sofa perfectly.

Perfectly.
